Burst Triathlon Club members have varying work and personal commitments which limit the ability to get together for group training sessions. To address this we provide information burnt to a CD which includes an 8 week beginner training program, swim, cycling and running technique articles, sample meals, transitions tips, self massage instructions and much more upon members paying their membership fee. Members then seek their own programs and coaches and communicate via email to let each other know where and when they are training. We get together and support each other at local events. To assist new members in the sport and club Virginia Colbran became a NCAS Accredited Triathlon Level 1 coach and will often hold training sessions focusing on skill development. Virginia will also hold simulated triathlons to offer members the 'feel' of doing a triathlon without the pressure of competing in an event. Over the last three seasons she has helped members with their training and skill development through to race day at no charge.
Our membership mostly consists of triathletes competing in short distance however we do have members that compete in the longer distance and overseas events and they are alwyas willing offer their feedback to beginner members. Our members live on the north and south sides of Brisbane with the club recently encouraging memberships in the Beenleigh area.
